That is why books are optional, not mandatory. Empower turns every day into an innovative field trip filled with technology, entrepreneurship, and creativity. my story:
It all started with the fact that I had a lot of struggles during my education while learning long tedious texts and often missing the “bigger picture”. As a student you are told to read texts and learn them by heart, because that’s how it’s supposed to be done! For me this felt completely wrong and a waste of my time. But you know how it goes, you’re still just a kid, so I had to spend a lot of time struggling and felt really unmotivated at school.
my eureka:
I finally found my own communication method: SKETCHING! It opened a whole new world for me. And even though my sketching is not an artwork, it makes all the information manageable and understandable. Finally, I started to enjoy learning and I could see the connection between different subjects. It made me think, if this helped me so much, could it possibly help others who struggle like me. I wondered if I could help change the way students are forced to learn at schools. That’s how ‘DiscoverVisually’ was founded.
my journey:
Let’s just say, the process wasn’t easy. To help others I had to spend a lot of time researching and creating a solid concept. I learnt how to help students by creating tailor-made workshops for schools. The obstacles were mostly in believing myself, and that I could really add value to the current educational system and help students. Everyone always told me: “start before you’re ready”. And so I did. I learnt a lot of skills along the way and I’m still learning new things every single day of being a co-founder. Pulsed really helped me with refining my concept and the research so that ‘Discover Visually’ can grow.
Everybody Let’s Sketch Now! My goal is to make it possible for every student worldwide to use sketching in their education and future life.
